Annual General Meeting of FHTR in Jaipur
Jaipur, 11 November: The Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR) successfully held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Jaipur. The meeting was addressed by the key office bearers of FHTR, Mr. Kuldeep Singh Chandela, President; Mr. Surendra Singh Shahpura, Senior Vice President; Mr. Khalid Khan and Mr. Rajendra Singh Pachar, Vice Presidents; CA Virendra Singh Shekhawat, Secretary General; Mr. Tarun Bansal, Joint Secretary; and Mr. Rishipal Singh, Treasurer, along with other senior members.
In his address, Mr. Kuldeep Singh Chandela, President of FHTR, emphasized the importance of ensuring both the safety and respect of tourists while continuing to drive tourism development across Rajasthan. He expressed his gratitude to tourism stakeholders, acknowledging their contributions to elevating Rajasthan’s tourism industry to new heights. “Moving forward, we must make concerted efforts to preserve our heritage through sustainable tourism, so future generations can reap the benefits,” he remarked.
CA Virendra S. Shekhawat, Secretary General of FHTR, highlighted the organization’s key achievements over the past year, including the successful Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart (RDTM), insightful talk shows on various facets of tourism, and international marketing efforts by FHTR to promote Rajasthan globally. He expressed his appreciation to the Government of Rajasthan, the Department of Tourism, and stakeholders for their unwavering support especially Mr. Ranvijay Singh for his innovative ideas efforts in making RDTM a great success .
Treasurer Mr. Rishipal Singh presented the annual financial report, detailing the profit and loss account, as well as the proposed budget for the upcoming year.
During the meeting, Mr. Rajendra Singh Pachar, Vice President, shared the vision for tourism development that embraces Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage. He proposed the creation of a tourism calendar featuring all the major festivals, showcasing the grandeur and diversity of Rajasthani culture.
Mr. Khalid Khan, Vice President, applauded the success of RDTM, noting that the quality of domestic buyers this year would greatly support FHTR’s ongoing initiatives to boost tourism.
The event was graced by prominent members of FHTR, including Shri Gyan Prakash, Shri Mohan Singh Mertia, Shri Hemant Mittal, Shri Deependra Rana, Shri Manish Bhatia, Shri Mahendra Singh Rathore, Shri Rajendra Singh Jodha, Shri Satinder Pal Singh, Shri Shailendra Singh, and Shri Ranvijay Singh, along with other members of the federation.
